Can you lose 5 pounds in 5 days? No, you cannot lose 5 pounds in 5 days. Why not? Because it sounds almost as crazy as trying to lose 10 pounds in 3 days. You also cannot lose 5 pounds in 5 days because we all know that we can only expect to lose a meager 2 pounds in a week.

Having said that, some would argue that it is possible to lose 5 pounds in 5 days, assuming we are talking about the first week of your weight-loss effort. That’s right, contrary to popular belief, some people can lose a lot more than just 2 pounds in the first week. In fact, some people can actually lose up to 10 pounds in a week.

How to lose 5 pounds in 5 days If you think that to accomplish this you need to drink water or do some other crazy diet tricks, you are mistaken. You do not need to do anything special, just follow your diet plan. It is impossible to predict how your body will respond to the new diet, but if it is a good diet, there is a pretty good chance that you will be able to lose 5 pounds in 5 days and in some cases, even faster.

Having said that, there are things you can do that can potentially increase your chances of losing weight faster. Here is what you should do: First, assuming you are not already on a low-carb diet, cut your daily carbohydrate intake in half. You do not have to go on a low-carb diet, just reduce your daily carbs by half. Second, walk every day for five consecutive days at least 30 minutes each day.

Third, if you have been eating three times per day, divide your meals into smaller portions, and eat every four hours at least 5 times per day. Fourth, make sure that you eat a fiber-rich vegetable and some sort of protein with every meal. Fifth, do not forget about snacks, but snack on something healthy (think nuts and fiber-rich fruits such as berries).

Why you cannot lose 5 pounds in 5 days with diet fads I know, it is tempting, but diet fads such as diet pills, detoxes and fad diets do not deliver long-lasting results. The tips above, on the other hand, can and should be extended beyond just five days. They can actually help you reach your weight-loss goal.
