Jodie Sweetin‘s weight loss of 45 pounds is not that surprising, given the fact that she lost weight after giving birth. Still, she looks great and she worked hard to lose weight, so she deserves the credit for her weight-loss effort.

So how did Jodie Sweetin lose weight? Jodie Sweetin’s weight loss was the focus of a recent interview with – you guessed it – Jodie. Here is how she did it:

Did you feel pressure to not gain too much weight while you were pregnant? There’s a ton of pressure, and it’s become a bit unreasonable. It was nerve-racking, but I was actually pretty lucky because I don’t feel like I put on a ton of weight everywhere on my body.

Did you have any cravings? There were these salmon paninis that I fell in love with and frozen Marie Callender’s chicken pot pie. I refused to look at the nutritional facts. I looked after I was pregnant and was like, “Oh, my god.” They’re like 36 grams of fat.

How long after giving birth did you start working out? I had a C-section so I had to give myself time. For a long time, I couldn’t cough, laugh or sneeze without feeling like my insides were going to come out. It was probably within six weeks or so.

What was your first day of training with Joshua Love like? Halfway through the first workout, I thought I was going to throw up. It was hell, but in a good way. It was really good to feel my muscles again. He had me doing stuff that used my body weight.

What are some of your favorite or least-favorite exercises? For my abs, I really like planks. Those have always worked really well, but they hurt. I hate lunges, but they work.

Do you want to lose any more weight? I’m down to 129 pounds right now. I’d like to lose five pounds more – those last five are really hard. After having a baby, I’ve noticed that my body responds to things differently. Before I would not eat as much for two days and lose five pounds. Now, you eat something and two days later you’re like, “These pants are snug.” But, being a mom, you find yourself running around and being a lot more active, and I think that helps.

What has your diet been like since having Zoie? I did NutriSystem, and that has been one of the biggest ways for me to lose weight, just realizing portion control. Now I crave vegetables and salads, where I really didn’t before. I find myself making much healthier choices and eating smaller portions, like you are supposed to.

What foods do you avoid now? Fast food. I still sneak in an occasional Meximelt from Taco Bell, but only once every few weeks. I used to be like, “Give me three!” And dessert is something that I love, so instead of having an entire hot-fudge sundae, I’ll split it with friends, have three bites and be done. I find myself more conscious about what I put in my body, as opposed to before when I was eating whatever I wanted. [via]
