How to lose weight in 5 days – why in five? Because if you know how to lose weight in 5 days, you need to rest on the weekends. If you do not know how to lose weight in 5 days, read the Lose Weight in 7 Days post, no rest for you on the weekends.

Joking aside, before I start talking about how to lose weight in 5 days, I want you to ask yourself these questions: Why do I need to know how to lose weight in 5 days? Do I want to lose about 5 pounds in 1 week or so? Or do I perhaps want to lose just 10 pounds?  Or do I want to lose more than just a few pounds and would like to see at least some results of my weight-loss effort in five days or less?

If your goal is to lose just a few pounds, here is the good news: You do not need to know how to lose weight in 5 days, and you probably do not even need to do anything to lose just a few pounds.

The reason for this is simple: It really does not take much to lose, say, 2 pounds. In fact, unless you chart your daily weight for at least two weeks, it is nearly impossible to figure out if you really lost 2 or even 5 pounds, or if you are seeing normal weight fluctuations.

If, however, your goal is the latter, you need to know how to lose weight in 5 days, because seeing weight-loss results during the first week of your weight-loss effort is very motivational – it shows that your plan is working – and it should encourage you to stick with your plan until you reach your weight-loss goal. Just do not have crazy expectations, if you expect to lose 20 pounds in 20 days or something, you will be disappointed.

How to lose weight in 5 days without the gym If you want to see results in the first five days, you got to start early, from the first day. I am talking about walking. You do not need to spend your time and money on the gym, you can walk anywhere – it does not cost anything. Think about it, unlike other exercises, the walking exercise does not require any special equipment, it can be done in public, you can walk around your house any time you want, you can ask your friend to go on a walk with you, etc – but I do not recommend walking because it is easy – walking is arguably the best low-impact exercise for weight loss. It does not matter how much weight you need to lose, if you want to accelerate your weight loss, if you want to see the results as soon as possible – walk!

How to lose weight in 5 days by eating more You did not see this one coming, did you? Eat more? That’s right, if you want to lose weight fast, eat more: Eat more vegetables, eat more protein, eat fiber-rich fruit such as berries, and eat more complex carbohydrates such as oatmeal.

How to lose weight in 5 days by eating less sugar This is really a no-brainer. If you want quick weight-loss results, you have to stop eating simple carbohydrates. Do not drink soda of any kind, do not eat white bread, stay away from any sweets, do not consume fast food, do not drink milk, do not eat fruits high in sugar such as watermelon, peaches, pineapple, etc.

How to lose weight in 5 days by staying hydrated While it is not true that drinking ice-cold water aids weight loss, it is true that staying properly hydrated is essential for your metabolism. Your metabolism – which is responsible for turning calories into energy – is not going to function optimally if there are not enough fluids in your system. You do not need to drink eight glasses of water a day, but if you are thirsty, your body is sending you a signal that it is running low on fluids. Drink unsweetened tea (preferably green tea) and plain water.
