Is it possible to lose 20 kilograms in 5 months? To lose 20 kilograms in 5 months, you need to be able to lose 4 kilograms a month for 5 months straight. 4 kilograms equals 9 pounds, so we are talking about losing 9 pounds per month for five consecutive months. To lose 9 pounds in a month, you need to lose just over 2 pounds a week (2.25 pounds to be precise), which pushes the upper limit of how much weight people can expect to lose in a week, but it is still doable.

So, can you lose 20 kilograms in 5 months or 44 pounds in 5 months? I have no idea. Whether you can or cannot lose 20 kilograms in 5 months depends on a wide variety of individual factors and variables, but I think you are already on the right track. It does not really matter how much weight you need to lose. You can lose 10 kilograms or 20 kilograms using the same diet and exercise plan.

Eating small portions every 2 hours is great, keep doing it, but if your daily calorie consumption is higher than the amount of calories your body uses to maintain your current weight, you are not going to lose weight.
