Ali Landry: Weight Loss and WorkoutFormer Miss USA Ali Landry has lost weight and she has shared all the details about her weight loss and workout in a recent interview. Here are all the juicy details for your enjoyment.

How much weight did you gain during your pregnancy? I gained 35 pounds. It was such a healthy pregnancy. I worked out the entire time because it made me feel good.

I ate healthier than I have in my life. I drank lots of water. I really have a huge sweet tooth so it was weird that I wasn’t craving sweets!

Did you have any odd cravings? In the beginning, it was the comfort food I grew up with, like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I would get up in the middle of the night and make them. Orange popsicles were another thing I couldn’t live without. I felt like I was really going back to everything I loved as a child.

Were you worried about taking the weight off? I really wasn’t. I have worked out consistently my entire life. I love to eat. I’m from the South so I don’t really like to deprive myself of food. I will never turn down home-cooked Cajun food. Also, when I go to the movies, I have to have popcorn and M&M’s. I can’t go to the movies without the combo. If I’m really trying to watch what I eat, I won’t go to the movies.

What is your workout regimen like? I thought once I had the baby I would run again. Two weeks after she was born, I got on the treadmill and I didn’t think about the nursing and the pain. It hurt! I had to find something else. I went back to my trusty videos and started doing them – very low-impact.

I think I’m losing weight because of my diet. I used to work out five days a week, now it’s just two days. I think that’s the lesson there. I’m following a diet, and I think it is about doing just a little bit every day.

Do you have any favorite moves? I love the moves that focus on different parts of the body. I love one where you step up on to the bench. It shapes your butt and the back of your legs. It makes everything beautiful and tight!

What advice would you give other women about health and fitness? I truly feel like women need to give themselves a break. Things will fall into place, but you really need to take the pressure off yourself. [source: OK!]
