What does it take to lose one dress size? Can you lose one dress size? Can you lose one dress size in 1 week? According to Keri Glassman, author of The O2 DietThe Cutting Edge Antioxidant-Based Program That Will Make You Healthy, Thin, and Beautiful, women can lose one dress size in 1 week, and she even has a diet to help you do just that, but I do not think Glassman’s diet plan stands out from other 1,200-calorie-a-day diet plans.

I do not think most women need to consume less than 1,300 calories per day to lose one dress size in 1 week. In fact, I think it is a mistake to focus on a certain number of calories to begin with. Some women can lose one dress size on 1,500 calories, for example, it really depends on your starting point and on many other individual factors.

How to lose one dress size Keep your daily calorie consumption in mind, but as I have already mentioned, do not focus on the calories, focus on your overall weight-loss plan. In other words, if your overall diet plan is balanced and not overly restrictive, you should be able to lose one dress size fairly quickly.

To lose one dress size you need to clean up your diet. Making big and sudden changes to your diet is not a good idea, but making small and gradual changes works very well for most people. Start changing your diet by making sure that you consume steamed vegetables, salads and lean proteins every day.

Gradually eliminate or significantly reduce your consumption of fast foods. And finally, stay active – go for daily walks or engage in other forms of exercise that you actually enjoy doing. It is very important to be comfortable with your plan. The reason why some women cannot lose one dress size or any amount of weight for that matter is because they try to follow diets and exercise plans that do not really fit their lifestyle.

Do not make the same mistake – just because somebody says you have to eat asparagus and skinless chicken breast and do crunches, does not mean anything if you are not comfortable with the plan. Take your time to find a diet and an exercise plan that you can effortlessly follow – it is the only way to lose weight permanently.
