If you can read, you can always learn about nutrition. With moderate nutritional knowledge, you will make better food choices, which should help you lose weight faster.

That said, we all have different priorities in life, so if learning about nutrition is just not your thing, there are some quality programs out there that can help you lose weight. Technically, you are not on a low-carb diet, but it is a low-carb diet for you. Oh, by the way, in addition to cutting 50 percent of carbs from your diet, did you realize that you just slashed 800 calories from your diet? 1 carb = 4 calories, hence, 200g carbs = 800 calories.

The point is that you should figure out what low-carb means to you. If you do that, you can benefit from cutting carbs from your diet without going on a traditional low-carb diet that severely restricts carbohydrates. Do not want to count carbs at all? No problem.

Here is a quick-and-dirty way to go about it: Eat protein (fish, poultry, meat, seafood), vegetables (any kind) and fruits (any kind), but nothing else – if you do that, you will significantly reduce your daily carbohydrate intake.
