What is LA Weight Loss? For those who actually live in Los Angeles, but have never heard of LA Weight Loss centers, this name could be a little misleading.

They hear people talk about LA Weight Loss, and assume that it is some sort of Los Angeles specific weight loss program, or a support group. Although Hollywood celebrities have inspired a number of popular fad dietsLA Weight Loss is not one of them.

LA Weight Loss is a weigh loss program designed to help you lose weight. Its weight loss centers could be found in virtually every state, so finding one in your area should not be a problem.

LA Weight Loss could be a perfect program for someone who prefers a hands-off approach to losing weight. At a center, each participant goes through an individual evaluation. Based on your results, your diet counselor prescribes you a customized diet plan.

I had a chance to see actual diet plans they use, since several people contacted me asking for a second opinion. For a program like LA Weight Loss, they are not bad. I mean that in a good way – they are trying to control your calorie intake, but at the same time, allow a wide variety of food choices.

The plans I have seen would put you on a moderate to low calorie intake, but not dangerously low. They seem to favor slightly higher carbohydrate intake over protein and moderate fat consumption.

Diet counselors take some time to educate dieters about healthy food choices, but their primary focus appears to be weight loss. I was also told about questionable tactics that are allegedly used at LA Weight Loss centers to pressure clients into buying LA Weight Loss supplements and LA Lites protein bars.

Regardless of what you may have been told, they are not necessary. LA Lites do not contain any special ingredients, but they are expensive and can add substantial cost to LA Weight Loss program, the supplements are nothing special either.

Would I recommend LA Weight Loss?

I have heard some positive feedback about the program. It clearly works for some people. Personally, I would like to see a little more emphasis on nutrition. The cost is another concern – LA Weight Loss could easily run into thousands of dollars.

However, the versatility of the program is a plus. It includes vegetarian and eating out plans, with a typical plan structured around regular foods.
