Heidi Montag‘s workout is outstanding. Just for the record, Heidi Montag’s workout is not really hers; it is a brainchild of her personal trainer, Chad Waterbury. But regardless of its origin, Heidi Montag’s workout is pretty hardcore. Yes, Waterbury is old school, which could explain Heidi’s rather shocking revelation – that is, she loves doing dead lifts.
The dead lift is arguably the best single exercise out there, but it is often neglected because people either do not know about it or simply afraid to do it. Even guys who are into weight lifting do not usually do dead lifts, so to hear that a girl does it (she lifts 100 pounds!), and claims that it is her favorite exercise is very exciting and completely unexpected.
Heidi Montag’s workout deconstructed Heidi Montag’s workout is centered around circuit training. There is no resting between sets, which consist of medicine ball throws, squats, sprints and her favorite dead lifts. Heidi has to do jumping jacks or jump rope. “Full-body movements, which challenge your upper and lower muscles at the same time, give you twice the results in half the time, especially when you do them as fast as possible. And when you need to enhance your curves, lifting weights is the best solution,” says Waterbury.
If you want to know a bit more about Heidi Montag’s workout and how she stays in shape, here is a recent interview with Heidi in which she has answered a lot of interesting questions.
Did you focus on a specific asset besides your butt? My stomach. I wanted a leaner, sexier look. So my midsection is firmer but with a feminine touch to it, not that masculine six-pack.
How long before you noticed results? I saw little results right away, but the big picture took a couple of weeks. It has really transformed my entire body. I see results in my arms, back, stomach, legs, butt, everywhere. Even my neck is different.
So did you enjoy the exercise? Nothing makes me feel better or happier. Once you are in a routine, it is not hard to get motivated. It becomes second nature.
If you have only 10 minutes to work out, what do you do? Jump rope. It is a really good overall body exercise. Ten minutes of jumping rope is better than 45 minutes of swimming.
Have you reached your fitness goal? No. Playboy was amazing, and then I had to go to the jungle [for I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here], so I lost some of [my muscle]. I am now rebuilding and regaining. I always strive for perfection. I want to try to have the best body I possibly can, the sexiest body I possibly can.
Would you consider plastic surgery to get those results? You can have plastic surgery for certain things, like a boob job or a nose job. But getting the body you want takes discipline and hard work. You cannot just get liposuction and have this great body because then you are not firm, you are not muscular, you are not strong. The only way to get more curves is heavy lifting. It is not an easy fix.
Do your implants fit with the new bod? I think they are a little small now. I have more curves, so they look a little bit smaller.
The bottom line on Heidi Montag’s workout Given her awesome workout program, and the fact that Waterbury has been training her for at least 6 months, I want to see more results, a lot more. I do not see any definition on her – she just looks, well, average. Her entire upper body (excluding her fake “funbags”) and legs need a lot more work.
She does not look like someone who does heavy dead lifts. I believe her when she says that her body has changed, but I think her body is just in early stages of being transformed. She does look firmer, but she needs to get that definition going. [via
