Shar Jackson has lost 20 pounds. How did she do it? No, she has not gone as far as using clenbuterol, but unfortunately she has fallen for a common diet fad, some sort of a cleansing diet.
Her diet apparently calls for consumption of fruits and vegetables, which is a good thing, but the cleansing claims are bogus, obviously.
Here are all the details about Shar Jackson’s workout, diet and weight loss from a recent interview with her:
How do you find time to work out? I do what I can when I can. When my kids are at school, I have to work. But I try to take 15 minutes during the day and meditate. During the day, that’s Mommy time. I’m getting into yoga. It brings you to that Zen place, and I appreciate that because I’m usually surrounded by chaos.
Why meditation? I’ve been doing it my whole life. I was heavily into martial arts when I was younger, and that introduces you to it. I am a fourth-degree black belt in tae kwon do, jujitsu and kung fu, so don’t mess with me!
Is body image important to you? I’m in an industry where people judge you all day long, but I work out because it makes me feel good. I want to be healthy and make sure that I can keep up with my kids.
Have you ever struggled with your weight? Actually, I put on 30 pounds for a movie. My whole adult life I’ve been 105 pounds, and when I put on 30 pounds – I ate Krispy Kreme doughnuts and all kinds of garbage – it changed my metabolism. When you do something like that and put all that bad stuff in your body, it takes a toll on you.
How did you get the weight off? I started cleansing, which is something I do every six months. It’s not just some lemonade; it’s fruits and vegetables. It’s a whole system that flushes out all the toxins in your body.
Is there pressure to be stick thin? I am 115 pounds, and when people see me and blog [about it], they say I’m fat. I’m healthy, and 115 is perfect for me. My curves are all in the right places. [via]
