Dayna Devon Tummy Tuck

Dayna Devon‘s tummy tuck is not like other tummy tucks. What is so special about Dayna Devon’s tummy tuck? Dayna Devon’s tummy tuck is not special, but unlike some people who just look for an easy way to lose fat, she has made an effort to get in shape.

Sometimes, even if you do everything right, things do not go your way, which is what happened in her case. So, what was it like to have the procedure, and what has she learned from this experience? If you want to know more about Dayna Devon‘s tummy tuck, here is a recent interview with Dayna about it.

Why did you decide to have a tummy tuck? I had a lot of internal hernias, so I got those fixed. But, of course, the excess skin bothered me. I would wear clothes to hide it, and it was constantly on my mind. I had the kids 16 months apart, and my body just did not bounce back. One day I was in a bikini and skin was dripping out; I knew it was time.

Why did you wait seven months after giving birth to have the tuck? I had it after because my husband told me my body was going to change drastically. You want to wait until everything calms down. Plus, I wanted my husband there as a dad, not a surgeon, during the delivery.

What was the procedure like? It took an hour, maybe two hours. He fixed the hernias and my separated abs. He essentially made an internal corset that tightens the excess skin, creates hips and strengthens the abdominal wall. But this tummy tuck is only for women who didn’t put on a lot of weight during pregnancy.

How was the recovery? I could not work for 10 days nor exercise for six weeks. It is definitely painful. I was very sore. You’re really stiff and need to rest. But after about two weeks, I was zipping around.

Did the tummy tuck inspire you to take better care of your body? The tummy tuck made me want to get into shape. My stomach looked like a 2-year-old’s, but my legs looked like I was in my 50s. So I worked out and used [the weight-loss aid] Sensa. You just sprinkle it on whatever you are eating and it tricks your brain into feeling full by heightening your sense of smell. I lost 7 pounds in the first week and 14 pounds in five months. With Sensa, I feel more satisfied. You can barely taste it.

What were the biggest benefits to having the procedure? They were partially medical for me. But I look better, I am stronger, I have a six-pack. I wear smaller clothes because I lost inches, not just weight. I am less self-conscious now. [via]
