Hi, I’m a 22 year old college student. I am 5’4″ and weigh 140lbs. I have a larger butt and I have a love/hate relationship with it. I have cellulite, saddle bags and a saggy rear end. I hate the way pants fit on me and since I’ve been in school I have gained 5-10lbs and it shows. What can I do to have the nice “Jessica Biel” butt, but not have the
cellulite, saddle bags or saggieness? [via Ask Questions]Thanks,
Tiana
Some people are genetically gifted. They eat crappy food, do not exercise and still manage to look great, lucky bustards. But you know what? I cannot do that, you cannot do that, and millions of other people cannot abuse their bodies and getaway with it.
However, even those who are genetically gifted can only live on soda and fast food for a while. Eventually, if they do not change their eating habits, that six-pack will be covered with a thick layer of fat. They will have a saggy rear end and cellulite faster than Britney Spears can say “large Coke with a double cheeseburger and French fries, please.”
Try not to think about your butt for a second and ask yourself this question: “Am I satisfied with my overall fitness level and body image?” If you are not satisfied, this is where your focus needs to be, not on your butt. If you need to lose some weight, do it!
Do you think your body wants to be overweight, have cellulite, saddle bags and a saggy rear end? It does not. All that stuff just gets in a way and puts unnecessary stress on it.
I know it is not easy to eat healthy and exercise while in school, but try to treat your body the way you want to be treated by other people. Be nice to your body and it will be nice to you, trust me, it works.
Do you know how many women have Jessica Biel’s butt? Millions. So why does Jessica Biel’s butt get so much attention? Because it looks great, right? But why does it look great? Because she is a celebrity and can afford to hire a celebrity personal trainer who knows a secret of making her butt look perfect and cellulite-free? Nope.
Okay, second try; because Jessica spends a lot of time on butt-specific exercises? Nope, that is not it either. The correct answer is, because her body is toned and defined. Why is her body toned and defined?
Because she takes good care of her body! She eats healthy and stays physically active. As a result, her overall bodyfat percentage is low, and her butt looks great.
The bottom line Unless you are a professional fitness model or a bodybuilder, do not focus on body-part-specific exercises. Your first priority should be to attain a healthy weight, eat a balanced diet and be physically active. If you do that, your problem areas will go away.
