Do you want to know how Kourtney Kardashian lost weight? A lot of people do not care how Kourtney Kardashian lost weight. Others would probably say that while we already know a lot about Kourtney Kardashian’s diet plan and Kourtney Kardashian’s workout program, they are still curious about her weight-loss progress, and for a good reason.

For example, I bet you did not know that she is just 7 pounds away from reaching her target weight. What was her pre-pregnancy weight? 100 pounds. No, she was not underweight; she is rather short, which means that 100 pounds is a healthy weight for her.

For those who want to know more about how Kourtney Kardashian lost weight, here is an excerpt from an interview with her on this subject:

How often do you hit the weights? I aim for five days a week, but that rarely happens. Doing 12 to 15 reps and three to four sets of each exercise two days a week – with squats, planks and lunges in between – keeps my body where it should be. I focus on my butt, legs, arms and back. I am also trying to focus on my posture right now. Good posture really does make you look and feel better.

Have you also revamped your diet? Yes. One thing that is so weird is that I had hated salmon my entire life, but I have craved it since starting to breast-feed. Now I have it once or twice a week – I am obsessed with it. And I have started eating brown rice and sweet potatoes.

Is that what you usually have for dinner? Salmon or chicken. I used to hate chicken; now I eat it with vegetables and salad.

How often do you eat during the day? Five small meals a day. Every morning, I have steel-cut oats, which I make from scratch, with light soy milk. I used to not eat breakfast, but now I look forward to it. I eat almonds as a snack. When back in LA, I will have this salad that Scott picks up for lunch. It has iceberg lettuce, deli turkey, sunflower seeds and cucumbers. We die to eat this salad.

Then will you keep up this fitness plan? I like the lifestyle now of working out and eating healthier, making healthy choices. I tried to eat frozen yogurt, and it had a chemical taste to me because I have been eating only salads and salmon and chicken. I just like fresh food so much better.

What about after those six weeks? I am big on running outside, putting on my iPod Shuffle and just going. I run for 30 minutes.

So you are not a big gym rat? It is hard for me to go to the gym because I have Mason all the time, and it is like, “Who is going to watch him?” So at first I would bring Mason to my mom’s, and she and my younger sisters Kendall and Kylie would hang out with him there while I did the treadmill and elliptical. When I started going to workout classes, Scott would hang with Mason. But I am breast-feeding every two hours, so I cannot be out too long.

What exercises have given you the best results? Over the past two weeks, I have started doing weight training just to kind of shock my body. I have noticed a difference from that already. [via]
