What is the best workout to lose weight? Does the best workout to lose weight even exist? I love contrasts, how does one reconcile between the best workout to lose weight and the best burger in Los Angeles that can help you gain weight? Can the best workout to lose weight actually help you lose, say, 15 pounds in 2 weeks?

While some claim that there is no such thing as the best workout to lose weight, I disagree. The best workout to lose weight most definitely exists, in my humble opinion. And no, it is not a high-intensity cardio. What is it, then? It is a combination of things. Specifically, it is a combination of a low-impact cardio, weight training and a certain dietary restriction.

Yes, I believe in synergy. Weight loss is not a linear process, if you want to lose weight safely and effectively, you need to find a way to make a number of seemingly unrelated components work together to help you achieve your weight-loss goal. So, we have two exercise-related components and one dietary component, let’s see how they compliment each other and why you need all three to lose weight.

The best workout to lose weight deconstructed While high-intensity cardio can burn an eye-popping number of calories in short time, it is not the most practical and safe exercise for most people who are overweight. Because of this and a number of other reasons, walking remains arguably the best low-impact, most doable exercise around. But walking alone is not enough. Why? Because any form of cardio, including walking, wastes muscle.

Weight training complements walking for one simple reason: it preserves your muscle mass, yes that same muscle mass you need to burn calories. You want to lose bodyfat, not muscle. There is simply nothing better than lifting weights to prevent the loss of muscle mass.

The best workout to lose weight would not be complete without a proper sugar detox. You need energy to walk and lift weights. But if your diet is high in sugar, your energy levels are probably low. In addition, sugar provides empty calories with zero nutritional value, which makes losing weight difficult.

Do you see now why the best workout to lose weight has to consist of walking, weight lifting and a sugar detox? Frankly, it does not really matter whether or not you understand how all these components work. You do not need to have a detailed understanding, to lose weight you just need to follow this plan.
