Women Consume More Calories
Do women these days exercise more than they did 36 years ago? Probably not, I don’t know, I think it’s debatable, but here is an interesting fact.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, women in the U.S. consume over 300 more calories per day that they did in 1971.
The report doesn’t mention whether or not men consume more calories today than they did more than 30 years ago, but of course, they do.
In other news, one recent study concluded that the average American spends 170 minutes per day watching TV and movies – nine times the minutes spent on all leisure exercise.
And finally, here is another factoid I have come across recently: Most women today are size 12 or 14.
