After a few years of disappointing gym memberships and food plans, I bought a Wii and Wiit Fit. I started using it Nov. 2, 2008 in hopes of avoiding another 5-7 lb. permanent gain over the holidays. On the first night, it told me I was obese, not merely overweight. That really annoyed me--no way!! Since then I missed maybe six or seven days of using it. Currently I've gone 19 weeks without missing. I went from obese to overweight to normal. By yesterday, on May 2, 2009 I had gone from 233 pounds to 176 pounds, not quite 60 in six months. My doctor is amazed. He also took me off blood pressure meds, since my BP is now 90/63 and resting heart rate is 45. My pants size went from 40 to 33, soon to be 32. I gave away most of my clothes and got a whole new wardrobe. The only other changes I made were not eating lunch at fast food joints and replacing fried foods with fresh. The Wii Fit has been a lifesaver for me.
