White carbohydrates to avoid at all costs – is there such a thing? Should all white carbohydrates be avoided at all costs? Yes and no. If you are not in great shape and need to lose weight, the answer is yes. Why? Because white carbohydrates are not exactly known for helping people lose weight and get in shape. In fact, some might argue that all things being equal, over-consumption of white carbohydrates is the main reason why so many people are overweight these days.

If, on the other hand, you are in great shape and do not need to lose weight, the answer is no. Why? Because there is nothing wrong with enjoying white carbs in moderation, not that they are healthy in small doses, they are not, but nobody eats healthy all the time. Live a little, indulge your cravings.

As you can probably imagine, there is no shortage of potential candidates. In my opinion, the worst of the worst are: donuts, white bread, jelly beans, white rice, soda, and fruit juices. If you need to lose weight, make sure that none of that stuff is found in your house.
