You have probably gained weight because your daily calorie intake is higher than it was in Greece. Maybe your daily calorie intake has not changed, but if you are not as physically activity as you used to be, that could also explain why you have gained some weight.
And finally, maybe none of the above happened, maybe your consumption of carbs has increased, which could also explain why you have gained weight.
Since you have not provided any details about your diet, I am afraid I cannot give you any specifics. However, I think you may find the following useful: How to Lose Weight the Right Way, How to Lose 10 Pounds in 2 Weeks, or The Calorie-Shifting Diet.
Weight loss is not rocket science. Stay away from fad diets and overly restrictive eating plans, they are not sustainable and can lead to eating disorders. Focus on protein, vegetables and fruit. Exercise, you do not need to go to the gym, just walk for 30 minutes or so every other day.
The bottom line: Develop a good eating plan, stay physically active, and you will see results.
