Walking Workouts
Hi. I am 42 years old and have exercised on a regular basis most of my life. Up until I was 36 I ran 4 miles most days of the week. Well, that got to be too much - so I started just walking 3 miles, 7 days a week and doing strength training 3 times a week. Here is my question - I am tired a lot and to do the workouts I’m used to I have to get up at 4:00 am. What would happen if I changed my walking to just 2 miles, 7 days a week?
I don’t know if this matters but when I was 36 I had breast cancer. I finished treatment five years ago. So, I don’t think that has anything to do with it.
I guess I mainly want to know if I cut back to 2 miles a day what effects will it have on my weight?

Since I do not know if you are currently overweight and what your diet is like, I can’t really predict if your weight will change. Has your weight changed after you switched from running 4 miles to walking 3 miles?
If you do not increase your daily calorie intake, you should be fine with walking 2 miles. You will keep doing the strength training, right? Promise me that you’ll. You are doing great, keep at it!
