Vitamins and Weight Loss
Studies show that getting a full complement of vitamins may short-circuit hunger, fending off weight gain.
Seattle researchers found that among 15,000 people, those who’d taken multivitamins, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, or chromium over the previous decade had gained less weight than those who hadn’t.
They theorize that missing essential nutrients may trigger some food cravings and that chromium may help normalize blood sugar levels, keeping appetite in check.
In my opinion, these findings don’t suggest that said vitamins aid weight loss, rather, they support a general notion that a balanced diet plays an important role in maintaining a healthy body weight.
