Unexpected Weight Loss

Hello

I have tried many times asking about my weight loss without trying from many websites and no one can answer this question. I am normally 110 -112 lbs. but since a year ago last Feb. my weight slowly dropped down where I am now 70 lbs.

I am 71 yrs. and have many health problems like – COPD – asthma, no strength in my legs and can hardly walk. 3 degenerating disks in my lower back which gives me much pain 24 hrs. from my back to my left hip & down my left leg. Have trouble breathing most of the time probably from the COPD.

Also have environmental allergies and take serum every 2 wks. plus a Vit. B12 shot. I have had many. many tests done since this started like, X-Rays, catscans, blood tests, etc. and the 2 Drs. I go to have no idea what is causing this weight loss. My appetite is very good and eat well.

Many conditions may cause sudden weight loss. It is good that you eat well, but do you eat enough calories to maintain weight? I’m not a doctor and since you have a number of medical conditions, your best bet is to consult with one. Ask your doctor if he or she can recommend a certified nutritionist in your area.
