Tofu Shirataki Noodles Are Lowcarbolicious

tofu shirataki noodlesTofu Shirataki Noodles look, smell and taste as if they are typical spaghetti – so they must be pasta, but they are not.

I am not sure what Tofu Shirataki Noodles are, because if I were to believe what “nutrition-facts” label says, they seem to be mocking the very idea of what proper spaghetti should be – and that is why I like them.

Tofu Shirataki Noodles come in two different shapes – “spaghetti” and “fettuccine”. They contain no preservatives, cholesterol, sugar, gluten, or dairy.

The best part about them is that they are as versatile as real spaghetti, yet one serving is only 20 calories with amusingly small amount of total carbohydrates (3g). In addition, they contain 2g of fiber.

However, I was a bit disappointed that they cannot be frozen. I was also not able to find them at any major stores in my area - but who needs to go to a store in our day and age?

Tofu Shirataki Noodles are available at Amazon for $1.99
