It confirms what we already know – i.e., celebrities do not know how to lose weight and they often take radical steps to lose weight. Tobey Maguire’s weight loss is just one of many example of this kind of behavior. How much weight has Maguire lost?
He has lost 20 pounds in 4 weeks, which is not as bad as, say, losing 20 pounds in 20 days, but it is not about how much weight he lost or the rate at which he lost the weight, it is all about how he did it. How did he do it? By starving himself and exercising too much. Okay, he did not actually say that he was starving himself, but it certainly sounds like he was not eating much food.
In addition to dramatically reducing his daily calorie consumption, he was exercising as much as three hours a day, which is clearly too much exercise. Even professional athletes do not work out that much, or if they do, they consume a lot of calories. In short, if you want to lose weight, do the opposite of what Maguire did to lose weight – i.e., exercise less and eat more, just make sure that you eat nutritious foods, not junk.
