THINgloss

THINgloss

Is THINgloss an Aprils Fools’ joke? I wish it would be a joke, but THINgloss is a real product. The ad for THINgloss claims the following:

Control What You Crave Award winner – (Best Innovation), featured on Fox television and CNBC.com. All natural THINgloss combines dual-action ingredients “HOODIA” known to suppress appetite and enhance energy. Additional benefits: Plump Lips, Mood Boosting and Vitamin E. In a national survey 90% said they love THINgloss and it works.”

So, can THINgloss help you lose weight? Can THINgloss give you an energy boost? Sure, Hoodia (assuming THINgloss contains a sufficient amount of it) can suppress appetite, but I had no idea that it boosts energy. And which ingredient in THINgloss has an ability to boost mood?

Even if THINgloss contains enough Hoodia to suppress appetite, should you use it as a weight-loss aid? No, of course not! Appetite suppressants are counterproductive. They do not teach you how to change your eating habits – they suppress your desire to eat. What do you think is going to happen when you stop using THINgloss? You are going to eat the same type of foods that caused you to gain weight in the first place.

The bottom line on THINgloss It sounds good until you realize that it cannot make you thin. Artificially suppressing your appetite is a false sense of security, because it is not sustainable in the long run. To lose weight, you do not need to beat down your natural desire to eat – all you need to do is to make healthy food choices.
