The Wall Street Diet
Who is the Wall Street Diet for? Worker bees with less than not time.
How does the Wall Steer Diet work? For crazy-busy people who never cook, this diet even has hints for making a healthy meal from a Starbucks stop.
Does the Wall Street Diet work? I do not think being busy is an excuse to not watching what you eat. Contrary to what this book seems to imply, you do not have to have time to diet to stay slim.
Having said that, it does provide useful information and helpful strategies on how to eat healthy and keep your weight under control even if you are working 10 hours a day.

Just wanted to say that I wholeheartedly disagree with this review. This book is amazing – I bought it a few weeks ago and though I just started using the tactics, I’m already exhibiting a lot more self-control and am able to make healthier choices. The most valuable information in the book is around social situations where it’s inappropriate to make healthy choices (e.g. if you’re at a client dinner at a steakhouse, it’s highly inappropriate to skip the alcohol and order a salad). It sounds silly, but if you work in finance or consulting, you will understand exactly what I mean. There are a lot of situations like this where it’s just not possible to make the right choice, and The Wall Street Diet is the first diet book I’ve read (and I’ve read a LOT of them) that actually addresses these problems. I highly recommend this book!

One more clarification point: when I was living at home, I agreed with the reviewer who says it doesn’t take time to stay slim. I cooked every meal and packed and brought it to work – it took very little time but I was in great shape. However, if you’re traveling, there is often NO way to cook, and you don’t get much choice about what you eat – you’re at the whims of the restaurants you frequent. As I said, it’s really hard to understand unless you’re living with it, as I’ve learned when complaining to friends and family and having them say, “well, can’t you just eat dinner on your own? Or customize your order to be grilled chicken with no marinade and steamed veggies?” The answer is no, I can’t do that. This book will teach you how to address those problems, and it’s the first one I’ve seen to do that.
