The UltraSimple Diet Review

The UltraSimple Diet ReviewThe Claim The basic theory behind The UltraSimple Diet is that you can boost your metabolism and lose 10 pounds in 7 days if you “detox” your body by removing foods that are “toxic” from your diet.

The so-called toxic foods are: junk and processed foods, sugar and refined flour. In addition, this diet advises to stay away foods which may cause allergies: gluten, dairy, eggs and corn.

“You take away the bad stuff and give your body the good stuff,” says Dr. Hyman, M.D., author of The UltraSimple Diet. “The body’s natural intelligence and wisdom does the rest.”

The Reality The UltraSimple Diet seems to suggest that it can “target your belly fat,” which is an obvious red flag since we are not talking about a liposuction procedure here.

The whole notion of food-induced detox is nonsense. If your liver and kidneys are healthy, there is no need to detox anything. So forget the detox claims.

You will not be hungry with all the recipes offered in the book and the exercise plan should help you torch calories, but the “lose 10 pounds in 7 days” claim is overly optimistic.

The book also promises downloadable guides to from their website at [edited]. I tried emailing the form twice, and got no reply. The site said if that happened to send email to [edited]. That email was returned to me as “permanently undeliverable.” So I went to the [edited] site where I was invited to post a comment, which I attempted to do. It bounced back flagged that I had made too many posts, even though that was the first time I had attempted to post there!

The book contains a lot of useful information, in a more organized manner that his previous “UltraMetabolism” book, but their online support leaves me Ultra-Unimpressed!
