The Snack Factor Diet
What is the latest diet fad out there? Snacking! “People tend to overeat if they don’t snack, says Keri Glassman, author of The Snack Factor Diet: The Secret to Losing Weight – by Eating More.
The Snack Factor Diet emphasizes the importance of making sure that healthy snacks are a part of your diet, which is very important indeed, but snacking can be tricky.
It is true that some people tend to overeat if they do not snack – unfortunately, the opposite is also true – some people overeat when they do snack. So what is the solution?
Do not eat more, eat more frequently – which keeps your body from switching to a starvation mode.
I am a big fan of healthy snacks and the Snack Factor Diet provides dozens of handy low-calorie snack recipes.
However, Glassman recommends snacking daily on a few low-calorie snacks that contain either carbs, protein or healthy fat, which is a bit puzzling. I do not think there is any reason to snack this way.
Other than that, it is a pretty good book. If you have run out of snack ideas, check it out.
