Continued from The Popcorn Diet. This diet is designed to kick start your metabolism and follows a strict diet plan that doesn’t involve much in the way of food.

A typical day involves coffee or tea, hard-boiled eggs, spinach, lettuce, celery and steak — for the entire day. It doesn’t provide dieters the calories to get through the day and actually does more to slow your metabolism down than speed it up.

By losing that weight quickly, you are telling your body to burn up the very muscles you’re trying to build up, which sends the metabolism dropping like a rock to recover.
