Okay, admit it. At one point, many of us have felt we needed to shed a few pounds to maintain – or return to – our figure. So why not start up on the newest fad diet?
Unfortunately, all diets don’t stack up. Many will do more to having you look like the Goodyear blimp or leave you physiologically damaged. So here’s a list of 10 of the worst fad diets of all time.
The Israeli Army Diet A diet that came onto the scene in the 1970, the Israeli Army was believed to use this for new recruits. Funny thing is, the Israelis have never used it.
The Israeli army diet instructs users to eat one of the following foods only for two straight days – apples, cheese, chicken and salad, with only tea or coffee for drinks.
In return, you’d see a significant weight loss in the short term. But as you can imagine, you would gain most of that weight back, once you went back to a normal diet, along with your body lacking some vital proteins and vitamins too boot.
In short, the Israeli army diet is not as dangerous as other fad diets, but just as useless and should be avoided. To be continued… [source: Your Health]
