The Fast Food Diet
Have you ever wished you could diet on fast food? I bet “i’m lovin’ it campaign was originally intended to promote “Chicken Select Premium Breast Strips, and “Deluxe Breakfast as the latest Hollywood diet miracle. When everything was ready to go, Hoodia Gordonii sneaked up on them, and just like that, America lost its appetite.
Maybe not, but I wonder if lovin’ said pieces equates to masochism of sorts. Perhaps I should be lovin’ my arteries instead, because just one serving of each delivers the combined total of 2,490 calories, and a staggering 20 grams of Trans Fat. If you eat something else during a day, you could be pushing 3,000 calories.
The good news is that you do not have to self-impose a fast food restraining order, because best selling author Jorge Cruise wants you to use your favorite fast food to lose weight. Okay, maybe not your favorite fast food, but fast food nevertheless.
The plan: One-size-fits-all is a questionable weight loss formula, but he recommends 1,400 calories a day to lose weight. Your breakfast, lunch and dinner receive approximately 400 calories each. There are also 100-cal snacks to keep your sanity in check. Expect to lose around two pounds a week on this plan.
The caveats: His fast food picks could be suitable for weight loss, but in an interest of a nutritional balance, it is a good idea to load up on vegetables and fruits.
The list of fast food joints you can visit on this diet is pretty generous:
Breakfast: Jack in the Box, Jamba Juice, McDonalds, Chick-fil-A and Subway
Lunch: Burger King, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, Boston Market and Blimpie
Dinner: McDonalds, KFC, Dairy Queen, Pizza Hut and Wendy’s
The “Fast Food Diet does a good job by allowing you to indulge a little, but at the same time keep your waistline in check. It could be a perfect solution when you are on a go and traveling.
Now you can say with a straight face, “I diet on fast food, but I wonder if an ultimate lure of BFM (burger, fries, and milkshake) could prove a little too much to resist on a long run. I hope not, in any case, this diet was not meant as a long-term solution to a weight loss.
