Texting Diet

The Texting Diet? Give me a break! Is there such a thing as the Texting Diet? Well, as it turns out, it is not really a diet, it is a service. How does the Texting Diet work? Say you are at a fast-food restaurant, and you want to order a salad.
You probably think that you cannot go wrong with a salad, it is always a healthy option, or is it? In reality, not all salads are the same. Some salads contain more calories than a double cheeseburger. How do you know if a salad you are about to order is inline with your nutritional preferences? That is where the Texting Diet comes in.
To find out exactly how many grams of fat, protein and carbohydrates a given menu item contains, all you need to do is to text the name of the restaurant and the name of the menu item (for example, Wendy’s Baconator or McDonald’s Premium Southwest Salad with Crispy Chicken) to DIET1 (34381). It takes a few seconds to get a reply with all nutritional information that you need.
This is a free service that uses a nutritional information database that has information on almost 2,000 restaurants.
