Taco Bell Menu

Taco BellTaco Bell’s menu – how does it look like? Believe it or not, I have never eaten at Taco Bell, and I have never seen the Taco Bell menu.

It may seem a bit shocking, but contrary to popular belief, when it comes to eating out at fast-food joints, I am not well prepared.

When Taco Bell opened its new location directly across from a gym where I workout, I thought the time has finally come to check out the goodies on Taco Bell’s menu. On it, one item almost immediately drew my attention – the Mexican Pizza.

Two crisp pizza shells filled with seasoned ground beef, hearty beans and then topped with pizza sauce, a blend of three cheeses – cheddar, pepperjack and mozzarella, melted to perfection, and topped with diced ripe tomatoes and fresh green onions. – - via Taco Bell.

Wait a minute – how did we get here? How can the chain that makes Mexican food, being located in a country bordering Mexico – come up with a bizarre concoction like this?

And yes, to put it mildly, this kind of nutritional profile is less than perfect: 540 calories, 20 grams (g) protein, 47 g carbohydrates, 31 g fat (10 g saturated), 3.5 g trans fat, 5 g fiber, 1040 milligrams sodium.

So what is the good news? When Taco Bell’s menu throws a nutritional curveball like Mexican Pizza, seems to me, the only thing left is to be thankful for not eating The Pizza Crepe Taco Pancake Chili Bag – - thank you Saturday Night Live for the best Taco Bell commercial parody ever.

Enjoy!
