Stubborn Fat Fix

Stubborn Fat Fix

The Stubborn Fat Fix by Keith Berkowitz, MD, and Valerie Berkowitz, MS, RD.

The premise behind The Stubborn Fat Fix is that in order to lose weight, you need to get your metabolism running economically, which sounds wonky. In fact, the name of the book, The Stubborn Fat Fix raises a red flag. Why? Because it seems to suggest that there is a way to spot reduce your problem areas such as belly fat, for example.

But there is a lot more to The Stubborn Fat Fix than meets the eye. While the cursory examination of this book makes it easy to jump to hasty conclusions, it deserves a closer look, which reveals that The Stubborn Fat Fix is a good book for someone who wants to lose weight.

The dietary plan described in the book features whole foods free of additives such as sugar and trans fats; supplements to decrease cravings and increase energy; ways to reduce stress and improve sleep for healthy hormonal balance; treats to beat the deprivation that causes many dieters to fail; and the right exercise at the right time.

Since I am not a big fan of supplements, I would say that you can skip the supplements section, but the rest of it (especially their recommendations on how to make healthy food choices and snack properly are very useful and easy to follow).

How The Stubborn Fat Fix works You choose from two levels, based on your responses to simple quizzes that reveal your particular imbalances and needs. Besides weight loss, this diet promises to improve cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, and energy for overall better health.
