Stress and overeating – what is the connection? It turns out that stress and overeating are connected. In fact, stress is a leading cause of overeating and other unhealthy eating habits.
And here is something else that is rather surprising, according to a recent study, women are more affected than men. Researchers studied the effects of stress on the eating habits of over 400 people and found that those who experienced one or more minor stressful events reported snacking more than usual.
The study also showed that women were more likely than men to snack on high-sugar, high-fat foods when working long hours.
