I totally disagree. Steaz uses "organic evaporated cane juice" not regular sugar. There is a big difference. Because cane juice is not processed like refined sugar, it contains more nutrients. The body also breaks down those sugars easier than it would refined sugar. Also, regular soda has high fructose corn syrup which is far worse than even refined sugar. Come on people, do some research!

It is strange that Steaz is sold in schools when it has 135 calories in 12 oz can and 35 grams of sugars from sugar cane. And it is carbonated. A few drops of acerola can get a product, even soda, into children's hands.

It is available in Iowa schools where Senator
Tom Harkin is from. It's ironic because Senator Harkin initiated better nutrition in schools. Empty sugar calories will keep next generation of dentists and cardiologists in Mercedes and B'mers.

You are right on the money. The stuff is pure sugar water - and has just as about as much sugar as regular soda.

With all food and drink, don't get fooled by the organic claims - it's still super sugar with 35 grams in a bottle and the carbonation will mess with the way your body absorbs calcium. Good call on the green tea claims - nice to know someone is reading the labels.

I bet either a dentist or an osteopath owns this company - this crap is job security for them.
