Avoid quick fixes. If a diet sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Weight loss takes time, not magic. To lose weight, you need to adopt new eating and activity habits and stick with them.
Quick fixes may work in the short term, but they don’t help you develop the long-lasting habits necessary for true weight loss.
Watch out for promises. Many popular diets make specific claims. Does it promise a 10-pound weight loss in one week? Do you need to buy or eat certain foods or products to boost weight loss?
