Special K2O Protein Water: Lose 6 lbs in 2 weeks?
Move over diet pills. According to the Kellogg’s Special K2O Protein Water ad, “Losing up to 6 lbs in 2 weeks* Just Got Easier!”
It all seems pretty straightforward, drink Kellogg’s Special K2O Protein Water – which by the way contains more sugar (8 grams) than protein (5 grams) – and lose up to 6 pounds in 2 weeks.
That is what the ad says, right? Wrong!
Special K2O water contains 50 calories and if you buy it online, it will cost you approximately $1.75 per bottle, which is rather expensive for some sugary water with only 5 grams of protein, but that is almost not worth mentioning.
Why? Because if you thought diet pills are notorious for making weight loss claims that make bovine excrement smell fruity, think again.
In my humble opinion, Kellogg just entered a whole new league of weight loss scams claims. I am still trying to wrap my mind around this, but Special K2O Protein Water seems to be a pseudo-weight loss beard for Kellogg’s Special K cereal.
Huh? Hang in there, here is what the fine print says:
* [...] Average weight loss when replacing meals with two cereal meals is 5 pounds. Weight loss may vary. For more information on the Special K Challenge, visit SpecialK.com
Wow! Let me repeat that: Wow! In other words, losing up to 6 pounds in 2 weeks has nothing to do with consuming Special K2O Protein Water.
I thought I would never say this, but suddenly the diet pill ads do not look so bad, do they?
Okay, they are still atrocious, but at least they go out of their way to convince us that they have real scientific studies, which supposedly support their bogus weight loss claims.
I am disappointed by the lack of effort on Kellogg’s part. Slackers!

special k2o is not a scam it does work just drink 2 bottles a day and don’t eat till your full because it is expanding your belly witch will help gain weight , so if you want to lose it try it . i have been trying to lose weight three years and nothing worked at all. but i just started this protein water a week and i have lost 4 lbs and i havent seen that in a long time. its easy to put the weight on but its even harder to lose it. so if you want to find out your self then do it.

I’ve lost almost 40 lbs using K2O. I don’t know where you’re getting your info, but my packet has ZERO grams of sugar. There is 7g of Carbs, 5g of protein, and a whopping 5g of fiber in each packet. For my body this seems to be enough to fool my metabolism into thinking I’m eating all day without actually eating all day. None of the metabolism slow down from dieting but all of the benefits. My packet also has 30 calories total. This stuff rocks.
