Skipping Meals

Are you skipping meals? Do not! Skipping meals is bad for you. Skipping meals may lead to a number of health problems, say Swedish researchers.
According to a recent study, you need to regularly eat at least three times a day. What happens if you do not eat regularly and eat sporadically instead? You run a 37 percent greater risk of developing a metabolic syndrome, which is a rather unpleasant condition that often leads to diabetes and heart disease.
But that is not all, according to the same study, those who ate at least three times a day ended up leaner. The bottom line is that your body needs a balanced and regular supply of calories and nutrients to keep your blood sugar and bloodflow stable.
Numerous other studies have shown that unstable blood sugar levels contribute to unhealthy eating habits such as over-snacking and eating junk food. [source: Men's Health]
