Skinny Chicks Don’t Eat Salads
Skinny Chicks Don’t Eat Salads by Christine Avanti.
Say what? Skinny chicks don’t eat salads? Really? Is it really true that skinny chicks don’t eat salads? I know plenty of skinny chicks, and they eat plenty of salads. In fact, that is all they eat.
But according to Skinny Chicks Don’t Eat Salads, most salads today are not what they used to be. They are often loaded with so many calories that you can actually gain weight if you eat them on a regular basis. It is true. These days, commercially made salads suck big time, well, most of them do.
Of course, it does not mean that you should not be eating salads, just the opposite, you probably should eat more salads, but only if you can control what goes into your salad.
Skinny Chicks Don’t Eat Salads is a smart book. It recommends eating frequently (every four hours). It focuses on eating sugar-balancing meals (think lean protein, vegetables, brown rice, etc.), which is very important, because jumpy sugar levels make it nearly impossible to control your appetite.
It is worth noting that Skinny Chicks Don’t Eat Salads is not a diet. It is a complete plan (yes, it recommends an exercise program) that shows how you can permanently change your eating habits, not only to lose weight, but to eat healthy in general.
That said, Skinny Chicks Don’t Eat Salads does make one claim that makes me cringe. It claims that you can lose up to seven pounds a week. I know, it is, well, annoying and sends a wrong message, but let’s not throw out the baby with the bath water, it is not a big deal, just know keep in mind that two pounds a week is an accepted average.
