Sicko Unveiled: Michael Moore Is in Hiding
Controversial documentary Sicko by Michael Moore was unveiled a few days ago at Toronto’s film festival. Michael Moore is not yet in hiding, but he could be, if Sicko creates the same controversy as Bowling from Columbine did.
One thing seems certain – Sicko is set to ruffle more than a few feathers. According to FoxNews, Moore has been physically attacked and harassed in the past, for his controversial views.
Sicko is a documentary about American health care system. It seems, “Big Pharma will be featured in Sicko documentary and they are not too happy about that.
According to Moore, thanks to some disgruntled employees, he received internal memos from many pharmaceutical companies, which describe how they should handle him while he gathers material for Sicko.
Pfizer must be terrified of Sicko documentary – they actually had set up Michael Moore hotline. Others have hired a profiler to coach them what to say to Moore. One recommendation was interesting - compliment Michael Moore on his weight loss.
It is hard to believe it, but according to Variety, one clip from Sicko shows a woman who claims that when she had a heart attack, her insurance company did not think it was an emergency.
Another clip from the movie shows Canadians who are afraid to travel to U.S without supplementary health care coverage, as well as several Americans sharing their unpleasant experiences with health insurance companies.
Sicko is scheduled to be released next summer.

As a conservative, I'm no fan of Michael Moore. But as an avid reader of all things alternative health, I think he's tackling a subject that needs a billion candle spotlight pointed on it.
Sadly, because it's Michael Moore doing this film, most if not all from the Right will automatically discredit HUGE problems that do exist in the NIH, CDC, FDA, Big Pharma, et al because of patent law, rules for "health claims", conflicts of interest, shareholder value, hidden bias, and status quo.
If Hippocrates, "Let food be your medicine," would that make, "The wrong food is your poison" true?
