Shock Coffee is a quintessential example of what could happen when I try unfamiliar products and ask questions later. Some coffee brews - shock your wallet and your senses in unexpected ways - Kopi Luwak anyone? - while Shock Coffee redefines the meaning of “Energizer bunny”.

For a natural coffee, Shock Coffee is disturbingly powerful. In a form of an espresso drink, just 1 oz of it, contains approximately 100mg of caffeine. How do they do it?

Shock Coffee company distinguishes itself from other coffee brands by taking the time to search the globe for coffee beans with twice the normal caffeine amount found in other brands.

Now I understand where their slogan - Sleep is Overrated - is coming from. To do all that searching, you have to be sleep deprived.

I like to sleep - it is healthy, but after that espresso shot - I realized that my activities on that day were limited: stay home and bounce off the walls, or go to a gym. The latter turned out to be a good choice, because I had a great workout. Thanks Shock Coffee!

They also offer hyper-caffeinated chocolate (Shock-A-Lots), and Shock Coffee Blended Coffee Drinks (Triple Latte or Triple Mocha), but I have not had a chance to try them.

The blended coffee drinks and chocolate are probably a bit high in sugar for my taste, or not, I do not know. All I know is that Shock Coffee beans are not living my house any time soon.
