Shane Sparks Choreographer: Dance Workout
Do you find ballroom a little boring? Then thank heavens for hip-hopper Shane Sparks, who spices up So You Think You Can Dance as a judge and choreographer, who is dating actress Francia Almendarez.
Modern moves “I love it,” he says of taking contestants out of their comfort zones, like transforming Jaimie Goodwin from lyrical dancer to booty-shakin’ bad girl.
If Sparks (who choreographed 2004’s You Got Served) had his way, it would be even racier: “I have to come down a couple notches for TV!”
Dancing with the stars Ashley Olsen and Hilary Duff have taken Sparks’ hip-hop class at Millennium Dance Complex in L.A. — but not Britney Spears. “I see her all the time. She has taken classes, but she’s never taken mine,” says Sparks. “You know what? I’m sad about that.” [source: Us Weekly]
