Sexy French Women Are Fat
Since the best seller French Women Don’t Get Fat came out, it seems like all we’ve heard is that French women are sexy because despite their penchant for chocolate, croissants, and quiche – they resist putting on pounds and don’t get fat.
Now researchers are saying excusez-moi!
A new study by a market-research firm shows that, out of 48 million teens and adults, 19.8 million French people are too fat, and that 5.9 million of them are obese, a sharp rise from 2.3 million nine years ago.
So don’t trade in your, well, whatever your favorites are, for a pain au chocolat just yet. It seems that women everywhere have trouble keeping the weight off. What is going on? [source: Health]
