Rihanna: Workout and Diet

When you hop from one hotel to another and constantly traveling - it is not easy to stay fit - but with yoga and Pilates-inspired workouts, Robyn Rihanna Fenty (a.k.a Rihanna) - now on tours for her album A Girl Like Me - stays in shape no matter where she is.

Rihanna’s Workout

“I love Pilates, says the 5-foot-8 star, who travels with a workout DVD and exercises at least three times a week for 45 minutes. “It’s all about toning. She even does crunches right before performing.

“You can never work your stomach enough, she says - - actually you can. You can over-train them. Exercise your abdominal muscles as you would any other muscle group.

Rihanna does crunches holding a 4-pound medicine ball. “[Raising the ball] is a comfortable position. I feel the stretch [in my torso], which is really good, she says.

Rihanna’s Diet

“I love to eat, admits Rihanna, though she often only has two meals a day. Her menu? Boiled egg whites, wheat toast and bacon at breakfast, fish and rice for lunch or dinner, and a granola bar.

“I never acquired a taste for vegetables, because I didn’t grow up eating them, she says - - excuses, excuses. It is never too late to start eating fruits and vegetables. They are fabulous and essential for a fit and healthy lifestyle. [source]
