Queen Latiffa’s Workout and Exercise
Continued from Queen Latiffa Weight Loss on Jenny Craig.
What’s your exercise routine? I usually exercise a few times a week. I hike with my dogs, get on the treadmill or the elliptical machine for half an hour, do strength training and yoga, go swimming or take a bike ride. 1 might take a dance class or play the Wii game Dance Dance Revolution.
You like that game? One of my friends is obsessed with it, and she’s losing weight. She’s real skinny right now so I’m going to have to battle her, because she can’t be leaving me in the dust!
How proud are you that you’ve been successful in your career without having to be skinny? I feel blessed to have achieved this success without having to conform to someone else’s image that I’m naturally not. There’s a place for everyone. We just have to keep pushing.
Your next movie, The Secret Life of Bees, starts shooting soon with Jennifer Hudson. Did you want to be thinner for the role? No. If anything, being nice and thick is good.
But you’re bound to lose weight during filming, aren’t you? Yeah, but hopefully not too much too fast. It’ll be like, in one scene I’m as thick as a brick and in the next one it’s like, “She’s missing one of her chins! The chin that was in the scene before!” We had better shoot in order!
