Phylicia Rashad’s diet is surprisingly good, considering that she is on Jenny Craig. The reason Phylicia Rashad’s diet is interesting is because it is a combination of the Jenny Craig’s approach to dieting and another approach, the Volumetrics. The Volumetrics diet approach prescribes eating food that are low in calories and high in fiber (think low-carb fruits and vegetables).
“I was eating healthy, but my portions were not appropriate,” says Rashad. Now her portions are under control, thanks to a 1,200-calories-a-day diet plan. Here is a sample of Phylicia Rashad’s diet menu.
Breakfast A banana nut muffin or silver-dollar pancakes with fruit, such as 1/2 cup of blueberries.
Snack A Jenny Craig Cookies & Cream Anytime Bar (a vitamin supplement).
Lunch Cheesy enchiladas with a garden salad.
Snack Jenny Craig Bruschetta Veggie Chips.
Dinner A bowl of broth-based soup such as tomato Florentine, fish and chips and at least 1/2 cup of vegetables or green beans.
Snack Nonfat yogurt.
