Padma Lakshmi’s diet plan is probably dreadful. Surprise! Padma Lakshmi’s diet plan is actually awesome. What is so special about Padma Lakshmi’s diet? Many things, one of them being the fact that she can maintain a decent diet at all. Her job is to eat, you know that, right? And since she is the Bravo’s Top Chef host, she cannot choose and pick what she eats, and what she does not eat, she has to eat it all. Hello sugar and calories!
Can you see her doing a sugar detox from your house or jumping on the celery diet in a desperate attempt to lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks in the off season? But you know what? While she has admitted in the past that she gains about 15 pounds when she hosts Top Chef, she found a way to lose weight and stay in shape without fad diets or expensive food delivery services that have become so popular in Hollywood.
Another wrinkle in Padma Lakshmi’s diet plan is her pregnancy, which for some women is often a green light to eat what they want. Occasionally, Padma does indulge her cinnamon doughnut cravings, but other than that, she follows a healthy prenatal diet plan. What can I say? Some people cannot even follow a good diet in normal circumstances. Clearly, she deserves a lot of credit for finding a way to maintain her healthy eating habits despite being in a rather challenging situation.

What will the baby eat? I’ll breast-feed, then feed my child the same lacto-vegetarian diet I had. As soon as possible, I want my kid to eat the foods I eat. I don’t believe babies should eat different food from adults, just gentler foods. [source: Us Weekly]
