Nancy O'Dell: Weight Loss and DietAfter Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell and her husband, Keith Zubchevich, welcomed daughter Ashby on June 11, the Access Hollywood host was determined to get back into shape for her September TV return.

Nancy hired her friend Lisa Rinna’s personal trainer, Jeff DePeron. They meet for one-hour sessions, five days a week using Jeff’s blend of Pilates. tai chi, ballet and Olympic-style movements.

Here is one of Nancy’s recent interviews in which she answers questions about her diet and weight loss.

How much weight did you gain? I put on 30 pounds, and I’ve taken off 28. I want to get back to where I was before I got pregnant, and I’d like to [lose] five more.

Were you worried about your post-baby weight? Hollywood makes you worry about it because it’s such an image-conscious community. I was a little bit worried: Could I get back into shape, [and] could I do it quickly?

What’s Jeff’s diet plan? In the morning, it’s egg whites and Canadian bacon or Irish oatmeal. Then I’ll have a mid-morning snack: either almonds, yogurt or a piece of fruit. Lunch is usually some kind of chicken or fish with lettuce.

I have a mid-afternoon snack – which we’ve since cut out – a few pieces of turkey, or some kind of protein like peanut butter, and then dinner is chicken and vegetables.

Any cheat foods? The other day, I had my mom-in-law’s rice pilaf. I couldn’t resist it! I confessed to Jeff that it’s really hard for me to cut out Coca-Cola. He said try to limit it to half a can a day.

How much more weight do you want to lose? Seven pounds. I’m fine with being a size six. I’m tall, and I’ve got hips. My husband likes to see the curves. He made me feel good because I was walking around naked, and he’s like, “You’re looking good.” [via]
