More to Love TV Show: More to Love Contestants

More to Love is a new reality TV dating show. But More to Love is more than just another reality show. Similar shows in the past have always left me feeling very queasy. More to Love is different. That is because the More to Love’s contestants are not just ordinary women, they are overweight and some are probably clinically obese.

The More to Love’s contestants are not just overweight, however, they are bold and beautiful, and they have a goal: find a man who appreciates their full-bodied curves. So let’s take a close look at these women and what they are all about.

Michele Greenleaf, 32, 230 lbs., 5′5″ A few years ago this Los Angeles resident could not imagine exposing her arms in a tank top. “I thought, ‘Oh, it’s ugly. I’m ugly. My arms are fat and big,’” she recalls. “I realized that was no way to live.”

To boost her confidence Greenleaf joined a local chapter of Big, Beautiful Women (a social group with clubs across the country), which she credits for helping her to “bust out and have fun.” Now, however, she wants to settle down. “I’m really ready to find someone to spend my life, with,” she says. “I want someone who loves me for me.”

Amanda Slayton, 23, 235 lbs., 5′10″ On More to Love “I learned not to be so hard on myself for my physical appearance,” she says.

Melissa Bowman, 21, 220 lbs., 5′6″ Before the show “I had never been on a date! I really liked getting all dressed up to go out,” she says.

Kristian Allbright, 26, 225 lbs., 5′5″ The best part of her 2002 gastric bypass surgery? She lost more than 100 pounds and “can show anywhere!”

Natalia Jackson, 28, 279 lbs., 5′10″ “I would like to be a little more toned, but keep the butt and boobs – I am good with that!” she says. [via]
