Notice that he has not ruled it out completely, which is great news. Personally, I am looking forward to it, but only if it involves pole dancing.

Joking aside, Michael Moore has recently lost 30 pounds in three months by following the Pritikin diet, which advises eating fiber-rich foods (such as oatmeal and apples), taking 10,000 steps a day and getting seven to eight hours of sleep per night.

“Guys like me don’t do well in spinning classes, but we should be smart enough to know that walking and eating a few vegetables can’t be a bad thing,” says the 5-foot-11 Moore, 53, whose documentary Sicko, about America’s health-care system motivated him to lose weight.

So is Pritikin the way to go? Nutrition expert Dr. Fred Pescatore says, “It works for some, but in the long run, it’s not effective.” [via]
